It happens all the time on dA. You comment on an image with something less than an ass-pat, and people quickly jump on you about it. Then they come to your page to try to dig up dirt on you. I'm sure everyone's had that happen. The "oh, well you can't draw, so you have no right to say that the anatomy in this image makes no sense." As if you have to be a chef to know that you're being served a plate of feces, right?

It's happened to me about 300 times now, and I just want to put this out there: You cannot insult me by pointing out the fact that I make fursuits. Crafting costumes is an artistic endeavor, pure and simple. It takes skill, and it's something I've been working on and improving upon for five years now. It is my job, and I like the work. I'm proud of the work I do. And I'm good at it.

So please, go find anyone who is lucky enough to actually enjoy their job, and try to use that job against them as some form of insult, and see how far it gets you. I am not ashamed of the fact that I make fursuits, and I'm not going to be insulted by you calling me a furry--you know absolutely nothing about me, and being a part of the furry community by virtue of my work is not a bad thing. The people who buy my suits truly enjoy them, and making a custom product that people get so much joy out of is a good thing.

Anyway, I just felt the need to put this out there. Maybe next time someone tries to insult me by pointing out that I make fursuits (as if I weren't already aware of it), I'll just direct them to this journal.
